Your rank is set by lifetime focus hours. There are eight, and the thresholds are fixed.
The ladder
| Rank | Focus hours required |
|---|---|
| ๐ฅ Bronze | 0 |
| ๐ฅ Silver | 26 |
| ๐ฅ Gold | 51 |
| ๐ Platinum | 101 |
| ๐ท Diamond | 201 |
| โณ๏ธ Emerald | 501 |
| ๐ Legendary | 1,001 |
| โจ Mythic | 2,501 |
Every new account starts at Bronze. The rank updates as soon as a completed session pushes your total past the next threshold.
Ranks never drop
Lifetime focus hours only go up, so a rank once earned is permanent. Stopping for a month costs you your streak, but not your rank.
This is the deliberate split between the two systems. Streaks measure whether the habit is currently holding and are unforgiving about gaps. Ranks measure total work done and ignore gaps entirely.
What the thresholds mean in practice
The gaps widen sharply toward the top:
- Bronze to Silver โ 26 hours, reachable in a few weeks of daily sessions
- Gold to Platinum โ 50 hours, a couple of months
- Emerald to Legendary โ 500 hours, closer to a year of consistent work
- Legendary to Mythic โ 1,500 hours, a multi-year total
Mythic is intentionally out of reach for a single term of study.
Ranks and the leaderboard are separate
Rank comes from your lifetime total. The leaderboard windows the current week or month. A Bronze account having a strong week can outrank a Diamond account that has been inactive โ the two numbers answer different questions.
Your current rank and progress toward the next one are on your achievements page and in the header of your statistics.
