About the 25-Minute Timer
The 25 minute timer is the heart of the Pomodoro Technique — the world's most popular time management method. Created by Francesco Cirillo in the 1980s, the technique uses 25-minute focused work intervals (called 'pomodoros') separated by 5-minute breaks. After 4 pomodoros, you take a longer 15-30 minute break. The reason 25 minutes works so well is that it's short enough to feel manageable (you can always talk yourself into 'just 25 minutes') but long enough to produce real, focused work.

Tips for Your 25-Minute Session
- This is the gold standard: 25 minutes work, 5 minutes break, repeat 4 times
- Close all tabs, put your phone in another room, and commit fully to one task
- If a distracting thought appears, write it down and return to it during your break
- Track your completed pomodoros — most people can do 8-12 quality sessions per day
