Flip Clock With Seconds

A Flip Clock That Shows Seconds

The standard flip clock is calm because the display only moves once a minute. This version adds a seconds tile that flips every second, for anyone who wants a more precise or more visibly alive display. Both digits of the seconds flip in the same mechanical, split-flap style as the hours and minutes.

Seconds are on by default here. If the constant motion is distracting, turn it off with one click and the clock drops back to hours and minutes only, the same as the plain flip clock page.

Why Seconds Matter for Study Sessions

A seconds display gives you a finer sense of elapsed time during a study session than a minutes-only clock. If you are timing something short, like a Cornell notes review pass or a quick recall drill, watching seconds tick by is more useful feedback than watching the minute change every 60 ticks.

As a Desk Clock or Screensaver

Put this on a second monitor as a desk clock and the seconds tile gives the display a subtle sense of motion even when you are not looking directly at it. In fullscreen it also works as a screensaver: focus mode hides every button after 3 seconds of no mouse movement, leaving only the flipping digits.

Pair It With a Pomodoro Timer

For structured work blocks, Peazehub also has an aesthetic pomodoro timer with calming backgrounds and four focus techniques, a study timer with ambient sound, and a 25 minute timer for a single quick session. Run the clock on a second screen while the timer counts down on the first.
